Hannah’s Place

A couple months ago, the opportunity to dog-sit a young Chihuahua/terrier mix came. Oddly enough, her name is Coco. And I already have a guinea-pig named Coconut! And I called her Coco! So there’s a bit of confusion now….a couple times when my mom has said “feed Coco” I’ve said “which one?” She is a very sweet and playful puppy, about 11 months old. She can be naughty…but she is still a good boy. We are glad she worked with my brother’s dog allergy and asthma. She has been with us for 5 months now.

Not long ago, we had snow. We live near the coast, so snow is like a miracle here! I got to spend a day in snow with a friend who had a sleepover with me. The night before, maybe around 9 pm, Gregory came to us and said it was snowing! We went out for a few minutes-in our pajamas! The snowflakes were HUGE! It looks like this year is a snow year. Today, even, we saw flurries in the air! God has blessed us with a second year of snow!

We had to get a new arbor in the back yard.  It is vinyl. We got it because our old metal one rusted and broke. It probably also broke partly because roses were heaped on top of it. I bet they were really heavy.

Mom got some pinestraw and is putting it out in the beds. She is also putting it in a vegetable garden that is behind our fence.

I have a small garden of my own, near one of the gates. I have a Carolina Jasmine vine there. It is really growing. Soon we may need a arbor for it! It has yellow blossoms when it blooms. It will bloom soon. If I get an arbor for my vine, I hope it dosen’t break!

Ok, ok, I know I haven’t written a post in, like, TWO YEARS. I’m sorry. I guess it’s time to catch up. I am turning 11 in March. My brother is 12, with a birthday in July.  My hampster died in 2008. It really made me sad. Also, my fish died in 2008. So I got money for that Christmas to buy a guinea pig.  My new guinea pig is named Coconut. She is 13 months old.

School is going well. I love math, especially with our new program we got at the beginning of the year. It is called “Teaching Textbooks” and I highly reccomend it because they explain everything to you. Like a tutor in a DVD. I also got a new science program at the beginning of the school year. It is called “Teaching Textbooks.”

I hope some people acually SEE me post something. Probably they won’t, but I’ll try to post things that are acually interesting.
